Dear friends,

unfortunately we have to announce that Six, bass player and one of the founders of Analena, left the band. Here you can read his statement about his situation:

Dear all,

I'd like to tell you that I left Analena. I'm no longer a member of this band.

It was a pretty big decision to make, because Analena has been one of the most important things in my life for nearly a decade. It hurt a lot, but I'm sure it would hurt even more if I'd stayed.

Why am I leaving the band? I'd like to keep the juicy details to myself, because spreading them all around doesn't seem fair. So, I'll try to explain it in general terms: I'm certain you've all experienced those moments in life when you realize that the reality you live in has changed into something bad, something you never wanted it to be and your gut feeling tells you that things are going in the wrong direction. I mean those moments when you find yourself inches away from a situation that disgusts you and scares you. Well, I had such a moment recently with Analena and that's why I decided to pack my things and go.

I know it sounds bad. It's not that bad. Let's think positive. I will now get the chance to start working on some new projects. Which means that I might see you again some day. Until then I'd like to express my enormous gratitude to all the good people I've met during these years: Thank you so much! You have made my life nicer, easier and generally more enjoyable.

Take care and be happy wherever you go. See you soon out there, somewhere,

Six a.k.a. Danijel Sikora

We feel there is no need to go into details about why, what and how at this point. We have to accept and respect his decision and we wish him all the best in his future projects. At the same time we fullheartly thank him for all the time, energy and money spent on Analena. The great times we lived together will never be forgotten. Six, thank you....

What does it mean for Analena? It was a heavy decision to make, but in the end we decided to continue as long as we will have the strong voice, fine tunes in our guitars and blasting kicks in our drums. New bass player is Davor from Lunar/Senata Fox fame, great friend of ours, who already experienced being on stage with Analena in the past.

Unfortunately we have to cancel some shows we already booked and most probably we will not play any shows this year (the only exception will be Moonlee Festival in Ljubljana in October). We will rather continue working on the new songs, play-in the new bass player and get ready for comeback in 2007. Analena is still alive and kicking!

See you soon.....
