| .:NEWS //10.11.2009. New ANALENA record is out ! ! ! Hej hej hej ! ANALENA's brand new adventure entitled Inconstantinopolis is officially out on Moonlee Records ! Finally, oh yeah, but it was definitely worth waiting. In any case, we are really satisfied and happy with the final result.... You can listen to Inconstantinopolis here, you can download it from the net (there is plenty of download links around already) or you can support our efforts and even buy the record. Last month we did a short Balkan tour that lead us through Serbia, Romania, Macedonia and Greece to Istanbul and back. It was a great experience and we enjoyed it totally. It's impossible to describe it with words, but if you would see the smiles on our tired faces at the end of it, you would understand everything. It was fabulous. At this point we would like to say thank you to the people that organised shows for us, offered us a place to sleep, cooked us food, hanged, talked and joked with us, and were friendly to us in general. Thanks a million. We appreciate it. //04.10.2009. Fuck the past, grab the future ! //03.09.2009. When winter finally turns into springtime, it is time for some news… //19.10.2008. Hello everybody! //17.04.2008. In last few weeks we played first 5 shows in the new line-up after year-and-a-half-long break. And it just feels great. To be back on the road. To be back on stage. To strike (dis)chords and blast beats. To scream your lungs and hearts out. To feel the energy. To be the energy. To play with dream amplifiers (yes, those ones that make all your wishes come true). To be surrounded with friends. Thanks to those who waited and kept the spirit. Special thanks to 13. brat collective, Mochvara, Interstellar Records and Lvmen for making it possible and be a part of it. //13.01.2008. First, all the best in 2008 ! Let it be happy, sexy and
noisy year ! ! ! It seems flexibility is becoming the number one virtue of ANALENA. Long term plans can be nice, but sometimes you just have to say fuck*it*jebi*ga*sta*mozes and adopt the present situation. Last time we announced we will get back on stage when our bass player Davor returns from the cruiser. Well, wishes and reality sometimes don't match. He returned home earlier then planned and he already departed on new half-year shift as well. Which unfortunately mean we had to cancel few shows we already booked and (again) postpone our comeback to the next year. We wish the most it would be different. Anyway, it was supernice to hang around with Davor at least for few days However, we decided ANALENA will continue as a happy four-piece in the future, since it is pretty clear. Davor will spend next 2-3 years on cruisers and it doesn't really make sense to wait for these 1-2 months a year when he comes back to the continent. Ana will play bass and keep screaming her lungs off, and the others will keep trying to add right dose of grizzli growls as well. Now we will need some time and practice to tune ourselves in completely. Once again, let's stay patient and enjoy our lives until then. In the meantime, our guitar player Mijo became the happy father of beautiful baby named Tara. It's great. In the long term punkrock kids will keep punkrock alive, or even start something new and better ! And there is another important and cheerful issue. This autumn ANALENA celebrates its 10th anniversary ! ! ! Which means that instead of crying and whining why we don't come and play a show in xxxxx city, you should rather bake a delicious vegan cake, make some lemonade, chill few beers, invite your friends, put on some nice music and spend great times with the people you love. As simple as that. Speaking of (nice) music. Few years ago we recorded cover song by The Clash (Guns of Brixton) for some Tribute to The Clash compilation, which unfortunately never came out. Stay nice and enjoy your lives ! miran & Analena //06.09.2006. Dear friends, unfortunately we have to announce that Six, bass player and one of the founders of Analena, left the band. Here you can read his statement about his situation:
We feel there is no need to go into details about why, what and how at this point. We have to accept and respect his decision and we wish him all the best in his future projects. At the same time we fullheartly thank him for all the time, energy and money spent on Analena. The great times we lived together will never be forgotten. Six, thank you.... What does it mean for Analena? It was a heavy decision to make, but in the end we decided to continue as long as we will have the strong voice, fine tunes in our guitars and blasting kicks in our drums. New bass player is Davor from Lunar/Senata Fox fame, great friend of ours, who already experienced being on stage with Analena in the past. Unfortunately we have to cancel some shows we already booked and most probably we will not play any shows this year (the only exception will be Moonlee Festival in Ljubljana in October). We will rather continue working on the new songs, play-in the new bass player and get ready for comeback in 2007. Analena is still alive and kicking! See you soon..... Analena |
